SSA’s Ticket to Work: The Role of Braided Funding in Mental Health Programs

The Social Security Administration (SSA), CESSI, the Ticket to Work Program Manager for Recruitment and Outreach (PMRO), and MAXIMUS, the Ticket to Work Operation Support Manager invite you to participate in a Ticket to Work Teleconference for mental health organizations currently participating in the Ticket to Work program as well as those interested in learning more about the role of braided funding in successful Program implementation. This teleconference will clarify the relationship between Ticket and Medicaid Funding as well as provide participants with examples of successful braided funding strategies currently at work in New York and Maryland.

Ticket to Work Training and Support for Maine Employment Networks - Initial Outreach and Planning Call

Maine's Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS), the CHOICES CEO project, and the Muskie Institute are planning a series of training and support events for current and prospective Employment Networks (ENs) in Maine. An initial teleconference to identify training needs and resources was held December 4.

In addition to the partners named above, other invited participants included Joel Middleton, Account Manager, CESSI; John Coburn, Health and Disability Advocates (HDA, based in Chicago); and the National Employment Network Association (NENA).

Who Are Targeted to Participate in these Teleconferences?

  • Agency Directors and other Management who need to decide if and how the Ticket fits with the need and direction of your agency
  • Agency Operational Staff who need to decide if and how the Ticket would serve current and future clients, and fit within other operations of the agency
  • Advocates and Others who need to find alternative revenue and resources that help workers with disabilities increase employment outcomes
