Benefits Counseling Services program part of Maine Medical Center's Vocational Services can assist individuals who receive Social Security benefits (SSI or SSDI) in understanding the rules around how benefits can be impacted by returning to work.
Disability Rights Center
The Disability Rights Center provides information and referral, advocacy, and legal representation to people with disabilities seeking employment or who are currently employed and have concerns or questions regarding their rights.
DRC can assist you if:
- You want to know what help is available to get or keep a job.
- You believe you were not hired or you were given a different job because of your disability.
- You were not given the help you needed to do your job.
- You think people at your job are not treating you fairly because of your disability.

MAXIMUS - YourTicketToWork.com - MAXIMUS, Inc., was awarded a contract to serve as the Program Manager (PM) to assist in the administration of the Ticket To Work Program. It will help with recruitment of Employment Networks; assisting in the facilitation of access for beneficiaries to ENs; ensuring adequate employment services are available; ensuring reasonable access to these services for beneficiaries; operating a toll-free telephone line to answer questions about the Ticket Program, and overall administration and oversight for ongoing Ticket Program operations.
